Scarlet Frills produces finely textured, deeply cut leaves with distinctive reddish-purple colouring. Its mild mustard flavour and delicate texture make it useful in salads, sandwiches, garnishes and mixed greens.

The leaves pair particularly well with fish and can also be added to soups or lightly cooked. Sow in cool conditions and harvest young for the best colour, texture and flavour.
