Roma is a productive paste tomato with firm, oval fruit, thick flesh and relatively low moisture. It is an excellent choice for tomato sauce, salsa, roasting, freezing and preserving.

The compact bush-type plants require less training than tall indeterminate tomatoes, although cages or short stakes can support heavily loaded branches. Grow in fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture.

Approximately 60–70 days to maturity after transplanting. Greenhouse or tunnel growing provides the most dependable crop in Newfoundland, although plants can also perform outdoors in a warm, protected location.
