Principe Borghese is a traditional Italian heirloom tomato valued for drying, sauces and preserving. The vigorous plants produce clusters of firm, richly flavoured red tomatoes shaped like miniature Roma tomatoes.

This variety performed exceptionally well in Eastport Organics’ greenhouse-grown, soil-based raised beds. Greenhouse or tunnel protection is recommended in Newfoundland, although we are also trialling it outdoors with season extension.

Indeterminate growth habit. Provide stakes or trellising. Approximately 80 days to maturity after transplanting.

Grown and selected by Eastport Organics using coastal organic methods without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides or fungicides.
